Common questions

Listing on Charm is completely free. We take a small 5% service fee only when your gear or space is successfully rented. There are no monthly fees, no setup costs, and no hidden charges — you only pay when you earn.
Browse listings and select your dates. Once you confirm and pay, the owner receives your request and can confirm or suggest changes. After confirmation, you arrange pickup or delivery directly with the owner through our in-app messaging. Return the gear in the same condition and your deposit is released within 24 hours.
Both parties submit a condition report before and after the rental. If damage occurs, the renter's deposit is used to cover verified repair costs. For higher-value items, our damage protection program covers up to $10,000 in repairs through our partner insurance provider.
Cameras, lenses, lighting, audio gear, drones, studio spaces, editing suites, rehearsal rooms, and creative services like photography, videography, or sound engineering. If it's used for creating, it belongs on Charm.
Payments are processed 24 hours after the rental period ends and the renter confirms no issues. Funds transfer to your connected bank account within 2–3 business days. We support all major banks and payment rails including Stripe and ACH.
Verified creators complete an ID check, link a portfolio or social profile, and maintain a minimum 4.5-star rating across their first 5 rentals. Verification unlocks higher booking limits, priority support, and a visible trust badge on your profile.
